Overview
People can recover from mental health crises & lead fulfilling and productive lives. Each of us heal & grow through our relationships with others that are based on mutual respect & authentic dialogue.
My practice is based on a non-pathologizing, supportive, narrative approach which is always person-first and person-directed. I graduated with a master's in clinical mental health counseling in 2003 & licensed in 2009. I now work virtually only and am licensed to practice in Massachusetts, Vermont and Maine.
I work with people individually either short-term or long-term. I worked as a psychotherapist in the V.A. prior to opening a private practice and have also worked in several outpatient mental health clinics in the greater Boston area.
I became a clinician based on my own lived experience of going through major depression in my mid-30's. Although I recovered from this depression, I often felt disempowered by the clinicians who worked with me. I went to grad school so I could work with clients in a nonjudgmental, empathic way and learn from & work with the client on what they need to heal.
