Overview
It is common for us to struggle to cope with life’s stressors and feel as if we have little control over anxiety, depression, anger, unhelpful thoughts, unhealthy behaviors, and more. This often leads to feeling detached and disconnected in many ways. You may seek to learn ways to improve your sense of self and relationships, as well as bring you closer to what gives you meaning and purpose. This can include enhancing self-awareness, processing difficult experiences and emotions, and/or developing secure connections with others. In doing so, you can feel stronger and safer, and experience more fully what you value in your life.
While I treat an array of psychological conditions, I have a passion for and found my niche working with individuals struggling with substance abuse and/or trauma. I adopt an integrative style and use interventions to help those reconnect with themselves, others, and a meaningful life.
I strongly value the therapeutic relationship and the way it can be used to bring about positive change. I take a nonjudgmental and open-minded stance when getting to know you and what you’ve been through. I ensure my treatment approach will be tailored to your needs, as it is important that I meet you where you're at in your healing process.
