Cheryl H. Yanuck MD PC Cheryl H. Yanuck MD
Cheryl Yanuck, MD, helps people suffering from emotional pain using a holistic approach that integrates self actualization and medical modalities. She is an intuitive and empathic psychotherapist. Clients learn to release shame and self-criticism that plague them. Dr. Yanuck works with adults, and has particular expertise in depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, self esteem, eating disorders, trauma and stress management, medical/psychological overlap, and relationship problems. Her approach includes screening for physical ailments that can cause emotional symptoms, and the conservative use of medications and nutrition when indicated. Relaxation techniques are taught as alternative ways of relieving stress and insomnia. Dr. Yanuck is open to and informed about many alternative forms of healing. She believes that collaboration among health care providers is essential, while respecting the individual’s right to confidentiality.
Dr. Yanuck blends a variety of psychotherapy techniques, including cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic, supportive, EMDR, and DNMS (a parts of self approach), as indicated for each individual. Please see her website, www.YanuckCenter.com, for a description of these techniques.
