Cal Domingue, MFT
Would you like to feel happier? If you'd like your days to hold more joy and peacefulness, psychotherapy can help. Finding the right therapist with whom to work can be critical; it is important to find someone with whom you feel comfortable, and who can work in a style that matches your needs. Call me for a free telephone interview to get a sense of what our working together might feel like.
My training and experience are diverse; I am certified in EMDR and trained in several therapeutic approaches. Previous clients have described my presence as warm, empathic, and authentic; and have called our work together helpful, enjoyable, and rewarding. In therapy, I try to help clients distinguish between areas in their life where they can create change; and those where they cannot. We explore behavior and beliefs; and develop strategies to implement new behavior where they want to create change, and acceptance where they cannot.
Over the last 15 years I have helped individuals and couples address many issues including relationship problems, depression, anxiety, substance use, sexual concerns, Giftedness (high-IQ or talented) , bisexuality, polyamory, HIV/AIDS (including care-giving, grief, & loss), MTF & FTM transitions, leather/kink/BDSM, mid-life and aging, conflict management, and parenting. My clients include adults, couples, children (pre-school through adolescence), and families; from many ethnicities, cultures, orientations, and ages. I am a member of AAMFT and of Mensa. I hope you will find this helpful in determining if we would work together effectively.
