At times when we are overwhelmed with intense feelings & thoughts, or that our lives seem unmanageable, and we would like to explore personal growth, or improve personal relationships, we may or may not question ourselves.  "Do I need some help with a challenging situation?" I know that each of one us would like to resolve their issues and challenges on their own. I support that and encourage personal growth and development. Yet at times, we are met with challenges that keep repeating themselves. Often ill equipped and in need of additional skills, it may be time to ask for assistance.  Let me tell you, there is absolutely nothing wrong with  asking for assistance. In fact the moment you do take those first steps to ask, you are declaring your commitment and willingness that you are ready to look for ways to grow and  be open to your own healing. Even though it seems to be the most intense for you, it is the best time to seek support.  For those of you, who have never sought counseling, the unknowns may seem challenging, particularly the cost and  time commitment that often comes with counseling or therapy. Not to mention the process of exploration that is part of the relationship. My invitation to you is to entertain a phone call to see if am the kind of person who understands your situation and who can empathize with your needs.  The most important aspect of counseling is that you feel safe and that there is nurturing environment that can foster trust & rapport for you.
