Ms. Sherry D. Persky, LCSW
I attended Adelphi University for both my undergraduate and graduate studies. I earned both a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and a Master's Degree
in Social Work from Adelphi University. Since graduation, I have worked as a clinical psychotherapist providing individual therapy to seniors, adults, adolescents and children. I specialize in treating clients, who suffer from anxiety, depression, panic disorders, phobias, and self esteem
issues. I have an eclectic therapeutic treatment approach. However, my individual approach gravitates towards cognitive behavioral therapy. My work
with clients focuses on ther realization that their various disorders stem from their erroneous beliefs about themselves.
I Work with them on disputing their irrational thinking and assist them in developing new adaptive, thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Many of my
clients have benefitted from this approach and are now leading happier and more productive lives.
I am a licensed Clinical Social Worker. I haved been trained in cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
