Effective therapy puts you in charge what what services you receive and what happens in your therapy session. I track outcomes to make sure you get the support you need when you need it and don't receive therapy that you don't need when you don't.
I teach a variety of skills that have been found to help persons with problems in the following areas:
Anger that doesn't work for you
Emotions that get in the way of the life you want
Relationships that are more burdens than sources of support
Impulsive behaviors such as drugs, alcohol, shopping, and other behaviors that harm you more than help you.
Feeling empty or not knowing who you are or what you want.
I believe these skills can make a big difference in the quality of your life. I also believe that nothing happens in therapy without a therapeutic relationship based on your needs and preferences.
