Hightened spontaneity and creativity are important for mental health. Anxiety, depression, and trauma all block us from our spontaneity and creativity. They impact our current relationships and level of functioning, often appearing as compulsive and addictive behaviors. My work includes a variety of modalitites from experiential/creative arts techniques such as psychodrama and art therapy to more traditional psychodynamic techniques - whatever is in the best interest of the client at the time.  Clients participate in setting clear goals for their treatment.  One may begin in individual or couple's therapy and then be assesed for group therapy, only if it appears that the client's needs can be augmented by group therapy.
