Mona Lee Yousef, LCSW, CASAC, CADC, MAC
I am a dedicated, perceptive and highly competent clinician with 25 years postgraduate experience. Certified in Psychoanalysis and Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy, I also hold state, national and international certifications in addictions treatment and have taught as well as supervised in the areas of addiction/recovery, HIV/AIDS and personality disorders. I have worked intensively and extensively with those struggling with (and recovering from) all forms of addictive disorders: alcohol/drugs, sexual compulsivity, eating disorders, gambling, spending. In addition, I am strongly experienced in and sensitive to issues of loss, trauma, identity, illness and sexuality and work well with those whose personality-states disrupt their strivings for authentic connection and intimacy.
I treat an adult clientele of diverse racial/ethnic backgrounds and all sexual and gender identifications. I believe that each person's therapeutic journey is unique; my commitment is to fostering a safe and supportive connection between us where all thoughts, feelings, issues, desires, conflicts and dysfunctional patterns may be honestly, creatively and compassionately explored.
I work empathically and interactively with you to provide a Relational analytic experience which will effect profound growth and change in your relationships with yourself and with others. I respect the courage it takes to reveal and reflect on oneself in therapy and offer compassion, structure, humor and balance. Additional information may be found in the "Services" section.
Please feel free to call me with any questions or to arrange an initial consultation. 718 contact number; office centrally located in midtown Manhattan (all sessions held there).
