I work with individuals, couples, and families who wish to enhance their quality of life, empower themselves, and enjoy fulfilling relationships. At a time when people more than ever need support from each other, people may drift apart and isolate themselves. Couples counseling can revitaluize couples who have lost touch with each other when they become bogged down by demands of their families and finances.
Anxiety and depression, excessive eating, drinking or smoking, and infidelity are all symptoms of severe stress and are indicators that we need to make some changes in our personal lives. Some of us react to stress and anxiety by developing serious physical illnesses. It is all too easy to ignore feelings of unhappiness or deteriorating relationships until it is too late.
I believe that there is a strong connection between the mind and the body and that it is essential to address the stressors in our lives in order to enjoy continued physical and emotional health. I enjoy helping individuals and couples heal, regain trust, and avoid blame as they repair the damage that resulted from the trauma of infidelity, infertility. and other losses and disappointments.
Strengthening respect and enhancing communication, developing empathy and understanding, and learning to handle painful triggers from the past can be a rewarding and freeing process. My goal is to remove roadblocks which hinder healthy and meaningful relationships.
My style is interactive as I help you to know yourself better, appreciate and develop your strengths and to accept all aspects of your personality.
