Innovative Family Therapy
Dr. Maris Clement

I employ an eclectic approach, tailored to your needs, using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy as a framework. Together, we will work to collaboratively set goals, and then look at ways your thoughts and actions effect your feelings and behaviors.  My office provides a safe, comfortable environment in which to help you develop the skills necessary to achieve clarity, independence and empowerment.

I see adults, couples, families, children and the elderly. Along with Cognitive Behavioral, I use Humanistic, Gestalt and Attachment theories. A good deal of my work focuses on the present, helping people tpo leave behand the past and not worry unnecessarily about the future. However, I am intially interested in how your family history plays into your current issues. Mindfulness provides help to many.

Having had a career in the creative arts, I work well with clients who are in the creative arts/entertainment field, or people who are simply interested in becoming more creative. Having taught graduate students hiow to do Marriage and Family Therapy for 13 years, I'm familair with many theories and ways to work with each client's unique needs.
