Lind Butler, LPC
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Marriage and Family Therapist with more than twenty years experience helping people with feelings of depression, anxiety, relationship issues and family problems. My personal life experiences, integrated with my years of clinical experience, have deepened my effectiveness as a psychotherapist.
My approach to psychotherapy is humanistic, psychodynamic and relational. I view healing of the whole person in the context of one's natural development and growth. I provide an introspective, empathetic focus, aimed at understanding, removing emotional blocks and moving toward ongoing growth. I assess the individual's concerns, needs and goals, make psychiatric referrals when necessary for prescriptive treatment and work closely with the psychiatrist, so that collaborative treatment planning and treatment options can be considered.
I believe the relationship between the client and therapist is where the most significant healing occurs. Psychotherapy becomes a creative process, incorporating mindful attentiveness to one's self as well as the self of the other. The healing of mind, body and spirit merges into a solid foundation of the integrated self.
