Reclaim Life's Joy! My office provices a safe, mon-judgmental, and objective environment in which to explore individual and couple needs. The goal is to promote empowerment and positive thinking . I am an active and supportive listener who demonstrates genuineness, warmth, empathy, and sensitivity. “You will know that forgiveness has begun when you recall those who hurt you and feel the power to wish them well.” -Lewis B. Smedes
I provide psychological services to a diverse population of adults and senior adults. I specialize in depression, generalize anxiety, heterosexual and homosexual relationship problems, women issues (infertility, postpartum depression, mid-life transition, menopause), and men issues. Fact: Approximately 17% of people suffer an episode of severe depression at some time in their lives. My practice is based on the principles of cognitive therapy, which identify "dysfunctional", "irrational" thinking that causes people to experience depression, anxiety, frustration, and/or anger. I teach the client to recognize words, thoughts, and events that trigger negative, irrational thoughts and to restructure these irrational thoughts into rational thoughts by disputing and challenging the irrational thoughts. These changes enable clients to fulfill their potential as an individual, partner, parent, and human being.
I provide comprehensive psychological (IQ, giftedness, emotional, behavioral, personality); psycho-educational (ADD/ADHD, Learning Disability, special services/extra test-taking time); neuropsychological (dementia/memory, concussion/TBI, disease-related such hypertension, diabetes, Parkinson, MS, etc); and forensic (competency, custody, SSI disability, immigration) evaluations/testing.
