Wray De Anda

Welcome.  My name is Dr. Wray De Anda. I am a licensed clinical psychologist trained in working with children, adolescents and adults. I counsel individuals, couples and families, helping them to restore hope, find solutions and transform their lives. I have extensive experience working with trauma issues, from the little hurts and rejections we go through every day, to childhood abuse and neglect.

I imagine you are searching for a therapist due to feeling overwhelmed, and you may be wondering if things can change or improve.  Whether it’s your first time seeking therapy, or you are returning, the experience can be a big step toward your efforts in resolving your concerns. Throughout the course of our lives, we are presented with challenges. Psychotherapy can be helpful in both meeting those challenges, and developing the understanding and skills to cope successfully in the future.  With the guidance and support of a trained professional, psychotherapy can offer effective tools to help address and ultimately resolve your concerns. As your therapist, my interest lies in listening to you and coming to a clear and accurate understanding of your concerns. I look forward to helping you identify and express your thoughts and feelings, clarify needs and goals, determine new and effective strategies, and support and encourage your decisions.

I believe that my clients are the experts on their own lives and have the right to determine the course of their own therapy. You can improve your life and feel better about yourself without a lengthy commitment to therapy. For clients whose goal is to focus on specific, time-limited objectives, I use my background in brief therapies and solution-focused treatment to encourage an action oriented approach to change.

For clients looking for a deeper level of change or recovering from traumatic life events, addiction, betrayal, infidelity or an intimacy disorder, our journey together may be longer. Our task becomes one of transforming suffering into meaning, empowering, and transforming your lives.
