If you're like many people looking at this website, you are probably thinking that something is wrong with your relationship. It shouldn't be this painful...there should not be so many fights. You should feel more loved and cherished by your partner. See if the questions below also describe your situation:

Are you falling out of love with your partner?

Are you fighting and arguing too much of the time?

Have hurtful past events damaged the trust between you and your partner?

Are there painful communication problems in your relationship?

If your relationship is not feeling supportive or close, then you may get the help you need from couples therapy. Both you and your spouse want to feel understood and that your needs will be met and respected. Both of you want a happy and loving environment that you can come home to at the end of the day. When there is too much alienation or conflict, it is time to see a therapist for couples counseling. Counseling will help improve empathy and understanding. It will help each individual talk to the other, and will help the other listen to what is being said. Counseling can help the couple move beyond a pattern of conflict and back towards love.

The process of therapy is both intimate and emotional. Having a good fit with your therapist is essential. One of the best ways to know if you have a good fit, is to sit with the therapist in a session and find out for yourself if you feel understood and helped. Are you wanting to improve your marriage? Do you feel distant, unloved and not cared for, by your spouse? I have helped many couples create happier marriages.

I help others to find satisfying solutions to life's sometimes difficult problems. I do this through asking the right questions, offering support and understanding when faced with painful or difficult situations, and encouraging new directions and approaches.

There are certain skills that I bring that increase the effectiveness of therapy. These include empathy and respect for those with whom I work, a developing understanding of what the other is struggling with and working through, and a sense of humor to help bring perspective and warmth.

I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I work with individuals, couples and families to help you achieve a more satisfying life. Skillfully blending wisdom, understanding, intuition and humor, I help you recreate your life with more happiness, satisfaction and fulfillment. I assist couples to have more loving relationships in which each individual's needs are met, communication is enhanced, home is experienced as more of a sanctuary, and parenting skills are improved.
