I provide a thorough assessment, and supportive, goal-focused therapy to help people overcome problems and be productive and happy. Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) is especially effective for anxiety and depression. I enjoy working with men, women and young adults on personal development, transitions, work issues/careers, and relationships.

I work from a holistic perspective helping people make life-style choices/changes that contribute to their physical, mental and spiritual health. I believe that people want to help themselves but sometimes get "stuck," and need some guidance.  Together we can figure out how to get unstuck and experience  the resulting good feelings that follow. I teach stress management skills and help clients change errors in thinking such as overgeneralizing, personalizing, or either/or thinking that lead to negative feelings and less optimum results in behavior

I  also work with people with physical illnesses such as Fibromyalgia/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, hormone imbalances, and MS. I offer services to family members of people with addictions such as adult children of alcoholics and those dealing with codependency. Periodically, I facilitate a group called The Artist's Way. It is based Julia Cameron's book by that title and helps people access spiritual energy, get unblocked, and achieve movement towards goals and self-expression.

As an Employee Assistance Consultant, I provide assessment, short-term problem-solving counseling, and assistance with referral resources, I also provide businesses with onsite trainings and Critical Incident Stress Management.
