What are possible changes that would facilitate a more authentic life for you? People seek counseling for many specific and individualized reasons. Whether you are facing the challenges and symptoms of a mental illness or just feeling stressed, counseling can work to create feelings of reduced distress, solutions to specific problems, and greater satisfaction in relationships. Those who struggle to open up through traditional psychotherapy benefit greatly from Art Therapy. Together we will develop a plan uniquely suited to your lifestyle and personal goals to find what empowers you to become more of who you desire to be.
I am a licensed Counselor and board certified Art Therapist. With training and experience in using a variety of art materials, I also understand the process of learning and mastering a new skill. You do not need to be a skilled artist to benefit from Art Therapy (I promise).
Art therapy is not intended to create works of beauty, but rather to offer an alternative method of expressing thoughts and feelings that can be difficult to do verbally. My passion comes from the belief that a guided art making process, with support from a trained Art Therapist, restores well-being.
