Art of Being Seattle
Darcy Marlow

My belief is that you are the expert about your life.  My role is to help guide you towards a new understanding of yourself, your experiences and your place in the world. Based on your personal strengths, we will explore your concerns, issues and challenges. Through creative art and talk therapy, we can uncover your personal story and help lay the foundation for a more authenitic way of being in the world. We will look at the narrative you tell yourself through the language of art, eliminating vocabulary as the only means of expression. Unique discoveries can be made with imagry as the descriptor. Art also serves as a container for problems or experiences that are too big to hold inside, but are not ready to be told. The imagry can contain the experience for controlled processing by the client. Art therapy is an excellent means of expression and self discovery for anyone wishing to change something in their life or anyone having trouble understanding why there are still questions and a feeling of incompleteness. All ages can benefit from art therapy. There is no requirement to be a professional artist, only the desire for new perspective.
