Todd Graves, LMFT
My goal as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is to help individuals, couples, and families develop possibilities for change. I am committed to creating an environment where individuals can explore their ideas in a caring, supportive, and non-judgmental environment.
I believe that people come to therapy with the ability to find the change that they are seeking. Research suggests that up to 40% of change in therapy can be credited to attributes that a person possesses before starting therapy. My role as a therapist is to help people access these attributes and open possibilities that they may not have previously seen.
Therapy sessions are most effective when combined with action outside the session. Assignments or interventions will be given to enhance your ability to progress toward your goals.
I specialize in the following areas:
• Addiction & Recovery
• Male Sexual Abuse Victims
• Male Depression
• Pornography Addiction
• Recovery Maintenance Therapy (Relapse Prevention)
• Grief Counseling
• Support for Families with a Child in an Out-of-Home Treatment Program
• Transitions from out-of-home placement
There are many difficulties that are commonly treated in therapy that do not appear on the list above. If you do not see your primary area of concern, it does not mean that I cannot help you. If you think that my approach to therapy will be beneficial to you, please contact me. I look forward to speaking with you.
