Bradley W. Schultz, LCSW
I see adults and adolescents who want major changes in their life experiences if not also in themselves.
Here's how we might work together in the Mid-Hudson Valley at my Cold Spring (Putnam County) office. (This is a short walk from a Metro North stop, near Beacon, Fishkill, Putnam Valley, Carmel and Garrison, and just across the river from West Point, Highland Falls, Cornwall, New Windsor and Newburgh.) From the early sessions we would identify the key issues inclining you to experience the same problems or symptoms over and over. Gradually, you would become good at recognizing when any of those "complexes" harmfully or dangerously affects your mood, thinking or behavior. Together we would discover ways for you to end that pattern. You would apply these methods and live happier.
Many of my patients say they feel misplaced in careers, committed relationships or in life generally in addition to having other problems. I typically respond with an approach that involves working with their dreams, fantasies, artwork, boredom ... whatever expresses soul. This is serious work but it can also be fun.
Am I well-suited to helping you?
As indicated on the Services page (click on link at lower left), I am very experienced in, committed to, and well-qualified for helping you with problems, issues, or a crisis affecting your work, any of your close relationships, or your general experience of life. For nearly two decades I have helped people in such situations, many of them coping with ongoing tragedy or the lingering effects of trauma.
I also have a very deep background in recovery and rehabilitation services, serving adults with chronic severe mental illness, including severe personality disorders, bipolar disorder, and schizophrenia, in many cases complicated by addiction.
For more information about my practice than I can fit here, please see my website at www.bradleyschultz.com. The provider networks (health insurance companies) I am affiliated with are listed there. If you don't see yours listed, keep in mind that I also see patients out-of-network and your PPO plan would entitle you to big savings that way. If you do see your insurer listed, you might be amazed to find how little therapy would cost you and glad to know I am ready to handle all the paperwork concerning your claims.
