    The 16th Annual Fundamentals of Addiction Medicine course is designed to enhance the skills and performance of those providers who treat patients with addictions to chemicals (i.e., alcohol, drugs). The sessions will focus on the role of the provider in not only helping to prevent further addiction but appropriately treating patients with addictions. Participants will discuss opioid prescribing, treating pain in patients with addition, caring for the pregnant patient with addiction, neonatal drug withdrawal, effective interventions, medication assisted treatment and comorbid attention deficit hyperactivity disorder and substance abuse.
