The NRA complained that it couldn't basically obtain financial services crucial to its operations and faced irrecoverable loss and irreparable harm after losing insurance coverage and hit with a $7 million fine.  Without insurance, like most of us, can't maintain a physical premises, have off-site meetings and events, operate educational programs, or hold rallies, conventions and assemblies.  So, its revenue sources are eliminated.  Thus, New York and Governor Cuomo are sponsoring this agenda because New York stands with real victims-the thousands of people whose lives are cut short by gun violence each year.  The NRA has filed a motion seeking the dismissal of the NRA's suit.  Governor Cuomo is not worried by this lawsuit.

Along with the insurance issue it is currently dealing with is that the NRA reportedly overspent nearly $46 million in 2016.

We are talking about the NRA because of the gun violence in schools and the trauma that it causes to our communities and students.  Thus, the long term treatment that is required from those who have been efffected by this type of trauma.  PTSD is real.  Treatment is available and necessary for those who have been exposed to this type of event.

Donald Trump and Washington, DC have been direct receipients of monies from the NRA.  President Trump received anywhere from $21-$30 million in campaign contributions.  The number depends on which news source you read from.
